I was confused by digital story telling but this blog titled Digital Story telling and the common core was really helpful. It showed me how DSS is aligned with the common core and different examples.
Lesley, thank you so much for posting this! I have been looking for a free app that can be used for Writers Workshop and is a little more kid friendly than what I have so far. I downloaded Photo Story WHILE I watched the video. I also found Picture Book while searching for Photo Story and I can't wait to have the kids try them out. Once again, this is a great way to meet the digital publishing required- Common Core Standard 1.W.6.

Plus, this project can be tied into the Literacy Project, if once the teachers create a digital story, then they have their students work on digital stories.
Great video! It was comforting to hear about her journey from getting to know computers, to producing projects for and with students to enhance content learning and comprehension!
I could really relate to this woman in the video. I also applaud her for being persistent. Teachers must have fortitude and perseverance in order to stay in this profession.
