Does anyone know how to post a digital story from imovie????

Diigo-I hope I did this right!

I hope I posted this correctly :/ This is what I have in my Diigo library so far.  Diigo is new to me but I am kind of liking the idea of having all the great websites I find in one organized spot. Any recommendations?

Love it!

k-5mathteachingresources is a great website that I use for my math workstations.  All of the activities are aligned with the common core.  Does anyone else use this site?

Struggling Writers

I have a few students in my class that really struggle with writing.  In fact, they down right hate it!  I have been trying to find resources to help them reduce their anxiety and enjoy writing. Reading Rocket is a great resource.  Does anyone use this website?

Thoughts??

SO I need some feedback on my DSS project!  I am about to start a new science unit on the states of matter (whenever we go back to school) and my plan was to take to pictures of the students in the science lab experimenting and to have them narrate their learning.  I am not sure if I will have enough time to do this so I was thinking maybe I should do my DSS as a way to introduce the unit. Sharing pictures of everyday objects and introduce the vocab for the unit.  Thoughts??

kid sites

I use starfall everyday as a workstation in my classroom for students who are still learning phonics and practicing phonemic awareness skills.

When I taught kindergarten and first grade I used hubbardscupboard for literacy and math workstation ideas.  I also used pbskids.org and this was the students favorite site to use. I love all three of these sites because they can be used by students at home as well! How do you utilize these sites?

Animoto- Math in 2nd grade is fun!

I created this Animoto video to showcase how my students learn math in 2nd grade.  It begins with our math chat, small group lesson, and then workstations for practice.  Check it out! Math in 2nd grade is fun!

Flickr

SO chapter 7 of Richardson has taught me a bit about how I can use Flickr in the classroom. Here are some different ideas:
1. develop online stories about images.
2. Creative writing
3. Virtual fields
4. Digital portfolios
The webpage How to use Flickr in the classroom provides more ideas!
